US and the Pluto return

As US Pluto slogs on its 245 year return to its natal position in Capricorn what can we expect? How is the stage set? Are the foundations of democracy crumbling in the age of Trump? Pluto in Capricorn signifies power of patriarchy. Trump is promoting patriarchy in a most virulent way. He openly admires "strong" leaders such as Putin.

In 1776, at the birth of the United States, the patriarchal power was King George III. The colonists rebelled and fought for their independence. I take the birth of the United States to be on July 4, 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was ratified. So, 245 years later the US is facing another patriarchal, anti-democratic power in Trump, or should we say in Trump-Putin. The birth chart of the US is shown below:

The US birth chart shows two strong clusters of energy: a Grand Trine in Air signs and a stellium in Cancer. The air signs are oriented toward communication with others, including all humanity. This is especially true for Aquarius. Cancer, on the other hand, is about family, protectiveness, dependency and clannishness. The US birth chart contains both these contradictory energies. There is the loftiness of humanitarian ideals as well as exclusion and fear of those we consider not like us. This is playing out in the age of Trump as we hear him malign immigrants and stir up emotions against them. He and his followers dislike immigrants simply because they are racially different.

Trump's birth chart is shown below:

Trump with his emphasis on Cancer (Venus,Mercury,Saturn) identifies with the Cancer energies in the US chart. He is missing the Aquarian element. He helped himself out of his "charities" money, so the state shut them down. No one can accuse Trump of being a humanitarian.

The Pluto return is re-focusing this old conflict inherent in the US chart. US is again being tested as to what kind of country it really is. The lofty words of Thomas Jefferson told us that all men are created equal, but that applied only to men of a certain color. US did not practice equality. It took centuries to bring equal rights to all people and a bloody civil war to end slavery. In 2016 Trump and Bannon with the help from Russia masterfully manipulated US voters to embrace this narrow America of white men and their supremacy. We saw the clan of white men rise again and with them neo-nazis and KKK.

The Square of Uranus and Pluto which produced political and financial upheaval was strong from 2008 to 2015 but it subsided as Uranus moved into Taurus. There was one last gasp of rebellion during November 2018 election when Uranus briefly retrograded into Aries. But now the fiery energy is extinguished. Taurus energy is too sluggish and comfort-seeking to seriously challenge Trump.

The fire of rebellion in 1776 was carried by the Eris quincunx Uranus aspect (1 degree from exact on July 4). Eris was in Capricorn and Uranus was in the communicative sign of Gemini. Mercury semisquare Uranus was a contributing factor. Mercury opposition Pluto may have also been a factor. The act of rebellion was to declare independence. The Pluto Uranus square which is often associated with massive social changes was over by the end of Seven Years War in 1763 and was not a factor in 1776.

The dwarf planet Eris has a 558 year orbit around the Sun. I consider the rare times when it is in aspect to the outer planets very significant. On October 7, 2016 Eris was in conjunction to Uranus at 0 degrees, 30 minutes of exact. What happened on October 7, 2016? It was the exact day when Trump Access Hollywood tape was released. And 30 minutes later Wikileaks started releasing emails damaging to Clinton. The outcome of the election could have been determined then. If Wikileaks did not release those emails at the instructions of Russia, Clinton most likely would have won the election. October 7, 2016 was a powerful moment in history with full ramifications still unknown.
