Inside Trump's Sociopathic Echo Chamber

 No amount of racism can change the US racial composition. The USA is a diverse country and that is reality. The original sin of slavery was due to greed. Without thinking of the consequences, wealthy Southerners brought in hundreds of thousands of slaves. Slaves were treated more like livestock than human beings. Their human rights and equality were denied at every turn. White slave owners wanted the wealth, but did not want to live alongside their slaves. Selfishness and greed is what brought in slavery. Fast-forward 243 years, and in Trump we have a narcissistic president who personifies selfishness and greed.

Now past the November 3rd election, Republicans are screaming that the votes of Blacks and other minorities are fraudulent. This without proof and based solely on their prejudice about minorities. People of color have been labelled as corrupt and criminal. The Republican base wants to see all the social evils in these minority people, not in themselves. And yet, in Donald Trump they are following one of the most corrupt and criminal persons in the US.

Trump gave voice to this prejudice starting with his speech at the bottom of the Trump Tower escalator in 2015. No one since George Wallace was so open in his prejudice. And the base took notice.

Trump grew and held the base because he fed these racist sentiments. At each opportunity he encouraged violence and hatred. As a side effect he spread Covid. And he expressed no guilt feelings for any of it. This is America at its coarsest: grab what you want for yourself and to hell with everyone else. Trump himself expressed it perfectly when he confessed how he treats women: "Grab them by the pussy".

Astrologically we are in the midst of two extremely stressful events: Pluto return of the US founding and Neptune return of the Republican Party founding. The US is confronting a test to its very identity. In Trump we have an autocratic power similar to that of Mad King George in1776. Many colonists were sympathizing with England and King George III. Likewise in 2020 we have a sizeable fraction of the population that rejects Joe Biden's victory. Trump is trying to stir up opposition and violence to retain power. The structure of the US as it was envisioned in 1776 is under threat from Donald Trump. He embodies the ruthless energy of Pluto as he seeks to overthrow the constitutional republic. Pluto is considered a higher octave of Mars energy, an unconscious will to power. It is a primitive, mindless and destructive energy. The astrological chart of US founding is shown in the inner circle with current planet positions on the outer circle.


The transiting Pluto is approaching the natal Pluto. The powerful planets Saturn and Jupiter are also near the natal Pluto. The dwarf planet Eris and Pluto are in stressful transits to the natal Mercury. The original thought behind the founding of the US is also severely tested. Trump has shattered many norms and he is seriously challenging the Constitution. Trump, least of all, is a president of law and order. 

The Neptune return of the Republican Party presents itself as a loss of identity, a moral and spiritual bankruptcy and a total reversal of what the party stood for in 1854. The transiting Neptune is dissolving the original Republican Party's most precious dreams and aspirations. It is a total loss and dissolution, such that many don't believe the party can return to its moral foundation.  


Donald Trump has ripped out any shred of morality that the party had. Neptune represents our spiritual aspirations and our sense of unity with something greater than ourselves. Trump has made the Republican Party a spiritually bankrupt organization. It now glorifies cruelty and pain. It ignores the terrible reality of Covid suffering and death. Separation and racism took the place of the compassion of Lincoln. The dwarf planet Eris is directly opposite the Republican Party's Sun, which is further blowing up the identity crisis. It is the tension of the individualistic Eris in Aries, versus the collective concerns of the natal Libra Sun. We see on a daily basis the resistance and non-compliance with Covid precautions. These Republicans just see it as an infringement on their freedom. Other people do not matter. 

Is there hope for the future? Yes. The only constant is change. This ugly phase of the American psyche will subside. Planets will shift and our unconscious focus will shift. Trump is not forever.

Donald Trump and Boris Johnson: Men for our times ?

Are Donald Trump and Boris Johnson the right men for our times?  Do they really reflect where their countries are at this time?  It depends on whom you ask. The progressives would clearly say "No" because the chain of progress seems to have been  broken. Most of the less educated folks would say that it is time to dig in for a national identity, to bring back a more glorious past (MAGA) when they felt more honored and less threatened. The threat is to their majority, as the influx of browner immigrants is rising in number and status. This fear is at a primitive visceral level. They let the herd instinct take over. These are the people of the MAGA rallies. They are also the more economically threatened people. But, the top 1% has hitched on to this populist movement because they see that immigrants are scapegoated and not the 1% that keeps the wages stagnant and opportunities limited.
