He is extracting praise for his performance from the desperate governors. He is seeing to it that shortages are not in red states and that his base is not too disturbed by mitigation measures. Trump has now succeeded in literally becoming what his father groomed him to be, a "killer". Trump did not pull the trigger, but he triggered a hate-filled racist man to do it for him. In the wake of the El Paso massacre we need to better understand the mind of Trump and what he is capable of doing. How far is he willing to go to save himself from going to jail? When I watched the video of Trump "condemning" violence, it was a disembodied voice delivering the speech. The message is that he does not believe what he is saying. His eyes were squinting and his face was stretched into a weird sort of grin, as if internally he was pleased. People still give him the benefit of the doubt, that he will do the morally right thing.
