January 6, 2021: Trump's Assault on Congress

 The events of January 6, 2021 happened because of the interplay of Trump and his base. The character of Trump's most ardent supporters was such that he was able to spur them to violent action. Trump cultivated his most extreme followers to use as his weapon. They cooperated beautifully and even committed murder for him. Trump, of course, did not slam the policeman who died. Trump knows how to evade the law and have others do his dirty work. Just ask Michael Cohen.


Violent movements are carried out by those in society who are most impassioned and have the least inhibition about using violence. We are not all created equal when it comes to propensity for violence. Some have much shorter fuses. Sociopaths and psychopaths don't have much regret either.

There are times in history when violence and revolution run rampant. Richard Tarnas in his book "Cosmos and Psyche" traces mass events and co-relates them to specific planetary configurations. The Saturn-Pluto stressful aspects correspond to rises in right wing extremism. He writes: ..."alignments of the Saturn-Pluto cycle coincided with especially challenging historical periods marked by a pervasive quality of intense contraction: eras of international crisis and conflict, empowerment of reactionary forces and totalitarian impulses, organized violence and oppression, all sometimes marked by lasting traumatic effects. " We have been in one such period, the conjunction, since 2015. In the US this corresponds with the rise of Trump.

But, was there something more specific in the planetary aspects of January 6, 2021 that could have facilitated these traumatic events? And how does Trump tie in? The astrological chart for January 6 is shown on the outer circle in red with Trump's natal chart on the inside. Astrology operates on the premise that our unconscious behavior is influenced by planetary positions.


There are several very volatile aspects for January 6, 2021 in addition to the Saturn-Pluto massive conjunction in Capricorn that also includes the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter. Capricorn is thought to denote the father, or patriarchy. The stress is being put on the existing patriarchy. Our governing institutions certainly are under stress. The right wing radicals have mounted a full assault on the government in an attempt to make Trump a full autocrat.

An aspect that reveals the violent nature of this attempt is in the focus on Mars. Mars is located at midpoint between planets Uranus and Eris. Uranus is associated with revolt and Eris is associated with sudden chaotic events. This super volatile conjunction is directly opposite the Moon which indicates our sentiments. The sentiments of January 6, 2021 have been swamped by the violent and chaotic revolt of the Uranus-Mars-Eris conjunction. The energy we experienced was shocking and explosive.

Another longer term transit is the square (90 degrees) between Pluto in Capricorn and Eris in Aries. The meaning of this square is chaotic transformation. This square was exact in 2016 during the Trump Tower meeting between Trump's representatives and the Russians. That event committed Putin to helping Trump get elected. And we have experienced chaos ever since. Putin has been laughing heartily, I am sure.

On January 6, 2021 Pluto was also in conjunction to Mercury. The destructive actions of Pluto have been affected by incoming messages (Mercury). Trump's speech at the Ellipse spurred the march to the Capitol and the ensuing mayhem. This relates to Trump because the Mercury-Pluto conjunction is directly opposite Trump's source of grievance (Venus-Saturn conjunction in Cancer). Trump raged about the "stolen election" and how he was wronged. Trump showed them love (Venus) by telling them that he loved them and that they were special.

Trump's Mars is exactly quincunx the transiting Mercury indicating that Trump's aggression (Mars) will be channeled through his speech. Trump's Ascendant at 29 degrees of Leo was exactly quincunx to transiting Mars at 29 degrees Aries, meaning that Trump will project himself on the world forcefully.

The current Neptune at 17 degrees Pisces is square to Trump's Uranus, meaning that Trump will impose his whims on truth and spiritual values. After nearly 30,000 lies we are all overcome and exhausted.

The planets of January 6, 2021 resonated so strongly and so fatefully with the natal planets of Donald J. Trump. The synchronicity is undeniable. Trump's destructive energies found full expression on January 6. The mob did the physical work, but it was what Trump desired.

The two, now deceased, justices of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia had an unusual, yet true friendship.
