Rush Limbaugh: White Male Grievance

I think that the Founding Fathers would be tossing in their graves if they knew that their love of free speech unleashed the reign of ignorant and vicious talk radio hosts such as Rush Limbaugh. It is dumbfounding to know that he commands an audience of 13 million a week and that he had a contract that paid him $ 400 million. He seems most antagonistic to women, to Blacks, other minorities, academics and liberal people who defend them. What is behind his intolerance and resentment of these people?

I believe it is a profound feeling of scarcity and resentment: that he and his kind have to share with those they consider unworthy and undeserving. If he can't outright eliminate these unworthy people he will do his utmost to destroy the system which supports them. That is what the hysterical fuss is all about. To him the end justifies the means.

What gives Rush his cause and zeal? What can his astrological chart tell us?

In Rush's chart Saturn looms LARGE. Saturn is the planet of scarcity and restriction. Rush's Sun and Mercury are both in Capricorn which has Saturn as its ruling planet. His Saturn in the 8th House gives him an obsessive quality as well as preoccupation with finances and legacies. These are echoed by Saturn semisquare Pluto.

Saturn as the tip of a T Square has even more weight. The square of Mercury and Saturn (less than 1 degree) means that Rush will think and talk about the scarcity. The Moon in opposition to Saturn and Square to Mercury means that he will feel the scarcity deeply. He will express himself with emotional intensity. Uranus in hard aspects to Saturn and Mercury means that he will say things that may shock people. Mars opposite Pluto and Sun quincunx Pluto give him the compulsion to act. The many aspects to Eris, I think, indicate that he will have a strong presence in the world.

He is a zealot for his cause which is to keep "unworthy" people from taking resources from his kind of deserving people. And he is by no means alone. To be conservative means to restrict, to stop expansion, to stop change.
