Trump and the "Herd Mentality"

 The Trump herd is happily getting infected while he is keeping a safe distance. Trump said he was a "cheerleader" as an excuse for his downplaying of the virus. How far will the herd go with him? Over the cliff? The red states are blissfully becoming new hotspots of Coronavirus thanks to Trump's leadership. Mindless rage is what is needed to sustain the herd and Trump busily provides it. What can possibly bring the Trump herd back to reality?


In Astrology the Saturn Pluto stressful transits have been described by Richard Tarnas as follows: ..."alignments of the Saturn-Pluto cycle coincided with especially challenging historical periods marked by a pervasive quality of intense contraction: eras of international crisis and conflict, empowerment of reactionary forces and totalitarian impulses, organized violence and oppression, all sometimes marked by lasting traumatic effects." We are in the midst of a Saturn-Pluto conjunction into which Jupiter is now transiting.

MAGA is the personification of the Saturn-Pluto archetype. It is about going back to recapture some old glory. Saturn is not forward looking. It wants to preserve the old order. When combined with Pluto, the planet of transformation, it makes that happen. Pluto is considered the higher octave of Mars, the action planet. Pluto gives the planet it touches an extra blast of energy.

Presently there are three heavyweight planets in the sign of Capricorn: Saturn, Pluto and Jupiter. Saturn is presently again going retrograde which puts it closer to Pluto, the slowest of the three planets. Saturn stops going retrograde on September 28 and starts going direct which pulls it away from Pluto. Meanwhile, Jupiter is moving closer to Pluto. The table below shows the positions in degrees and minutes of these three planets during the next several weeks:

Hopefully this means that the restrictive forces of Saturn will give way to the expansive qualities of Jupiter. The power of Saturn is waning. On November 3 Jupiter is much closer (21 degrees) than Saturn at 26 degrees to Pluto at 22 degrees 42 minutes. The exact conjunction of Jupiter to Pluto on November 13 is also a good sign. Hopefully Joe Biden's victory will become obvious.

The chart for November 3, 2020 is shown below. The planets move counterclockwise (unless retrograde). Other promising signs are the exact quincunx of Uranus to Venus (green lines) which could mean rebellion by women and a close quincunx of Jupiter to North Node (collective). People are likely to choose the benevolence of Jupiter over the regressive contraction of Saturn.

RBG and Antonin Scalia: An Unlikely Friendship

The two, now deceased, justices of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia had an unusual, yet true friendship. They managed it in spite of being most often on the opposite sides of the Court's decisions. For RBG the issue that was of prime concern was the equality of women.
