Senator Ron Johnson: pro Trump, pro Russia

 What's with the Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson's avid support for Trump and his policies? What's with the defense of Russia and attacks on Hunter Biden? Upon returning from a suspicious all GOP trip to Moscow Johnson said: "I've been pretty upfront that the election interference - as serious as that was - is not the greatest threat to our democracy. We've blown it way out of proportion."



Was this to reassure Russians that the GOP has their backs? One thing that is clear is that Johnson is an all out Trumpian. He does his best to hurt Biden and help Trump win re-election. Johnson lines up with Trump's policies pretty well. He was claimed by the Tea Party, he rejects that global warming is man made, he opposes regulations of carbon emissions, he defended Trump calling FBI agents scum, he voted for tax cuts in 2017, he opposed federal stimulus, he is against gun control, and he opposes the Affordable Care Act, among other policies.

Overall, it is apparent that Johnson promotes policies that funnel money to the top 1 % and is opposed to policies that would help poorer individuals and the environment. This is the classic GOP "fiscally conservative" stance. But is his support for Trump about something more? Many old time GOP conservatives have spoken and acted against Trump, finding him offensive to their values.  The remaining reasons to support Trump come down to racism and love of fascism. Johnson must support these inherent goals of Trumpism. 

Is there something that pre-disposes a person to hold such "values"? I believe that there is. Astrology has a way of revealing our deep-seated motives and drives. The archetype of Cancer is that of the mother and family. People with strong Cancerian energies feel very bound and loyal to their families. They have great difficulty in accepting individuals who do not resemble their families. They reject and dehumanize such people because they are not of the clan.

The focus of the first T-square is Uranus conjunction Jupiter in Cancer. The energies of the Sun, Neptune and possibly the Moon feed into this conjunction. Jupiter amplifies whatever it touches and with Uranus (rebellion) it amplifies Cancerian attitudes. The compulsive energy of Pluto also feeds by semisextile into Cancer as does Venus by sesquiquadrate. 

In addition Cancer is part of the Water Grand Trine which means that this emotional energy operates automatically. Ron Johnson is driven by these deep unconscious feelings.

The second T-square with the focus on Pluto, I believe, has to do with Johnson's conservatism. Mars opposite Saturn means that Johnson will act (Mars) out of a sense of lack and scarcity (Saturn). He will instinctively act to make sure his family and clan are provided for. The involvement of Pluto means that he will act compulsively and ruthlessly to help his clan. They will be lavished with tax cuts and whatever else he can muster. For those not of his clan there is little if anything left. In a democracy to have such people lead the country is deeply tragic.

 Incidentally, the charts of Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler also show prominent Cancer energies.

RBG and Antonin Scalia: An Unlikely Friendship

The two, now deceased, justices of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia had an unusual, yet true friendship. They managed it in spite of being most often on the opposite sides of the Court's decisions. For RBG the issue that was of prime concern was the equality of women.
