Epstein and Wexner: an unusual relationship
It is still a mystery how Jeffrey Epstein accumulated such a large fortune and real estate holdings. Apparently, the wealthy businessman Leslie Wexner was his only client. Why did Leslie Wexner trust Epstein with his assets? What could make Wexner think that Epstein was at all like himself? Perhaps if we look at astrological charts of Epstein and Wexner we could find some clues. Epstein's noon chart is shown in the inner circle with Wexner's planets (in red) shown on the outer circle.
There are several close planetary conjunctions between these charts. I will summarize:
Epstein Wexner
Jupiter Uranus
Moon-Eris Saturn-Eris
Mercury-Chiron Jupiter
Saturn-Neptune Moon
It could easily be felt by these two men that they had a certain meeting of minds. But, it is their differences that are perhaps more telling. This will become more apparent when we look at Wexner's noon chart alone (below) and compare it to Epstein's.
The first unusual feature is that Wexner has no planets in Air signs. Air helps us to intellectually put the bigger picture together. According to astrologer Stephen Arroyo: "The element air is a unifying quality and enables one to adjust easily and quickly to new ideas and different sorts of people. Those who lack this attunement naturally have difficulty adjusting themselves to new ideas, and therefore to new people." Perhaps Wexner felt that he could not easily deal with the larger management of his money. Epstein with his Sun, Saturn, Neptune and North Node in Air signs is able to put the bigger picture together. Epstein's Mercury, which receives energies from Pluto and Uranus, made him a ruthless and unconventional thinker.
The planet Neptune can undermine people's sense of self. With Neptune conjunct his Sun and Mercury, Wexner perhaps lacked personal willpower, and could be overpowered and manipulated by Epstein. Wexner's Mars was also weakened by the square to Neptune. But with Sun and Mercury in Virgo, Wexner was good at focusing on the details of his apparel business. He was very good at that.
Wexner was not a big risk taker. This is indicated by Saturn in Aries, where it can inhibit independent action. Wexner farmed out risk taking to Epstein who was bold, brash and downright impudent. This is supported by Epstein's Moon conjunct Eris, semisextile to Pluto and square to Uranus. With exact sesquiquadrate of Eris to Pluto, Epstein was capable of shocking actions. He did what few others dared to do, and got away with it most of his life.
