Hope Hicks: Trump Confidant

What qualities do you have to have to endure working for Donald Trump? Who could tolerate the narcissism, cruelty and vindictiveness exhibited by Trump? Hope Hicks started working for the Trump campaign in January 2015 as Press Secretary, moved on as White House Director of Strategic Communications in January 2017, and then as White House Communications Director until March 2018. While numerous Trump Administration officials were fired or resigned, Hope Hicks managed a long tenure.

What does Hope Hicks' astrological chart reveal? She has Sun in Libra and Moon in Pisces. Astrologer R. Pelletiere describes this combination as possessing imagination, creativity and a gentle manner, but also indecision and a tendency to be dominated by stronger individuals, to "often follow fraudulent persons and proposals". This combination is compassionate and treats others as fragile. Trump certainly is thin-skinned with a fragile ego. Hope would naturally treat him compassionately as a fragile individual that he is. She may be the closest thing to a Trump whisperer.

The Noon Chart for Hope Hicks is shown below. The Ascendant is not known.

Hope's lack of firmness is further supported by only one planet, Pluto, being in a Fixed sign. She has a strong 26th Harmonic which D. Cochrane describes as "seeking a hero, desire to be involved with people who have great vision, talent or motivation." This is also indicated by Mercury inconjunct North Node where she relies on others to provide ideas and guidance. North Node in Pisces and Moon conjunction North Node suggest over-involvement with other people. Chiron in Cancer indicates a person sensitive to other's needs who may do too much for others. Recall that she took it upon herself to steam Trump's trousers so he would not be seen with wrinkles. Perhaps taking the communications job too far?

What about lies and fabrications? Hope admitted that she told "white lies" for Trump. Now she is being asked again to testify before Congress. How will she respond? She has a lot of tolerance for fabrication or she could not have lasted with Trump for so long. Astrologically this is seen in her Mercury square Neptune, as well as Mercury aspects to Jupiter, Pluto, Chiron and Eris, all contacts which she, remarkably, shares with Trump. In Hope Hicks Trump found someone whose communication mode is very similar to his, but without the Mars vitriol. These individuals can be very deceptive and manipulative, spinning truth as required. Hope's job was to assist with communications to suit Trump, and we know that he is now at well over 10,000 lies since he took office, if anyone is still counting.

Hope Hicks was born during the conjunction of Saturn and Uranus of less than 2 degrees. This conjunction signifies the blending of traditional authority (father=Saturn) with rebellion and change (Uranus).Trump is the authority (father figure) for Hope, but with his inconsistency and reversals Trump also manifests the Uranus side. Trump is very Uranian with his Sun and North Node in conjunction to Uranus. But whereas Trump is unable to be consistent, Hope is successful at blending these opposing energies. She provided Trump with something he lacks, while understanding some of his mental chaos. Hope is good at combining the traditional and structured with the innovative. With Mercury, Mars and Jupiter in harmonious aspects she is also good at public speaking. Strong 17th, 19th and 30th Harmonics support this ability.

What is Hope likely to do if she testifies to Congress? She would have to be pressured to reveal what she knows. And she likely knows a lot of incriminating facts. I think she would find it hard to reveal what she knows because she seems more attached to people than principles. With her Pluto in Scorpio and in exact semisextile to Mercury she is good at keeping secrets. Trump trusted her instinctively. Astrologer S. Tompkins wrote : " With Mercury-Pluto words can sabotage; secrets can kill." Hope Hicks is well aware of this.
