Trump: itching to fight

Astrologically, the transiting Mars, currently at 22 degrees Aquarius (May 1, 2020), is fast approaching the exact opposition to Trump's natal Mars at 26 degrees Leo and to his Ascendant at 29 degrees Leo. The trigger-happy Trump is very likely to attack, find a scapegoat, possibly China. The exact for Mars will be on May 8, 2020 and for the Ascendant on May 11, 2020. The chart for Trump natal planets and transits for May 8, 2020 are shown below:

Previously, when transiting Mars was in conjunction to Trump's natal Mars he attacked immigrants, bold eagles and fired Peter Strzok, all rather easy targets. When transiting Mars touched Trump's Pluto in 2019 he targeted Democratic congresswomen at a MAGA rally with his supporters threatening to "Send her back".

 With transiting Mars in opposition to Trump's natal Mars and Ascendant, and with transiting Jupiter in quincunx to the same planets, Trump is likely to attack someone he can label as an enemy. With his access to the US military and nuclear arsenal, this is not a comfortable situation. He needs a distraction from his failures, and he may be spurred to act at this time.

 Like clockwork, Trump has been triggered by his planetary energies. These are unconscious reactions with no filter and no pause for reason. Perhaps no one since Hitler has so clearly demonstrated such unconscious energies. (See my Blog: Trump and Hitler: Similarities). Trump harnessed racial hate to make himself popular with his base. It is a raw power, a destructive force of those who want to cleanse the country of immigrants and other undesirables. It is the Civil War resurrected. Furthermore, Trump's Eris in conjunction to transiting Chiron is creating chaos of what should have been healing. And Trump's Venus conjunction Saturn squared by transiting Eris likely mean more eruptions of his grievances.

Meanwhile, we need to endure Coronavirus and Trump's madness that rages on.


Addendum: May 12, 2020

 Trump did not disappoint. His Mars-Ascendant opposition to the transiting Mars produced quite an eruption. Trump used Tweeter in a machine gun fashion to shoot out 125 tweets and retweets in a 16 hour period (Mother's Day). Only 1 tweet was about Mother's Day. It was pure grievance, blaming and conspiracy. The primary target was Barack Obama who was accused of the "biggest political crime" and "Obamagate". The usual "Russia Hoax" people were also dragged in: Comey, Yates, Clapper, Mueller, etc., but he also went after 60 Minutes, Jimmy Kimmel and Chuck Todd. Very reassuring to the public as the US reached the grim milestone of 80,000 Coronavirus deaths!

RBG and Antonin Scalia: An Unlikely Friendship

The two, now deceased, justices of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia had an unusual, yet true friendship. They managed it in spite of being most often on the opposite sides of the Court's decisions. For RBG the issue that was of prime concern was the equality of women.
