Trump and Hitler: Similarities
As Trump continues to destabilize the world through reckless actions, are we headed for another war? Does Donald Trump have it within him to cause violence and mass destruction? He did say that a nuclear war is winnable.
When we think of the most destructive leader in world history we think of Adolf Hitler. With Hitler we know what he was capable of. With Trump that is still unknown and that is what I wish to address. Is Trump driven by similar subconscious motives that drove Hitler?
Trump and Hitler both tapped into the racial grievances of the White masses. When the economy is not serving people they tend to want to eliminate those they see as competition. For Hitler Jews, Gypsies and other "lesser" ethnic groups were the targets. For Trump it is Muslims, Latinos and Blacks. Both employed brutal tactics to inflict pain on these minorities. Both Trump and Hitler personally felt hatred for these groups. Both had visions of a perfect state with a master race in charge.
Trump thinks he is the country. His ego has expanded so that whatever happens nationally or internationally he feels is about his pride and ego. The danger is that he will start a war purely on personal basis. It is true that he sees wars as a waste of money and resources. He is not ideologically driven. He places great value on material possessions and he does not like to lose. Still, in his own businesses he repeatedly went bankrupt because his grand schemes did not survive reality. He is more caught up in his dreams, the biggest of which is the dream of himself with ultimate power. (See my blog "Trump: The Great Fraud").
Are there compelling similarities between the subconscious motives of Trump and Hitler? What can Astrology tell us? If they are similar we would expect same types of energies to be active in both natal charts. I will list the similar energies in table form. The stressful aspect energies are shown because they affect actions more strongly.

What emerges here are two highly individualistic people hell-bent on doing what they want. They are unpredictable, unstable and with a chip on their shoulders. They are successful at communicating and mobilizing the masses to create a social revolt. They have no reservations about deceiving and lying. They have strong drives which they express to the detriment of others. Cruelty is one way they assert their power. They are profoundly disruptive to the established order and they create chaos in the world.
Can Trump ascend to the level of Hitler's destructiveness? For Hitler the destructive force was his Pluto sesquiquadrate to Uranus at 0 degrees in his natal chart. Uranus-Pluto energy is the energy of radical social change and transformation. In Hitler this force was aided by the emotional energies of Moon conjunction Jupiter. His personal feelings played a part, but the depth of the world destruction was from the transpersonal planets Uranus and Pluto. Hitler would not stop fighting till all of Germany and much of Europe was laid to waste. The ruthless, destructive, and transformative power of Pluto was never so evident. "At its worst, it becomes the death wish, the desire to commit suicide" (Roger Elliot). That is how Hitler chose to end his life.
In Trump's chart we see no connection of Pluto to Uranus. Trump's Pluto is in stressful aspects to his personal planets, Sun and Mercury. If Trump is to be destructive he would need to be personally insulted. I think many world leaders know not to provoke him for they sense that he is likely to lash out destructively. With the tremendous nuclear arsenal at his disposal Trump rules by fear.

The first significant transit is the quincunx of Nov.3 Saturn to Trump's Mars at 26 degrees. It could be a sign that world rules and restrictions will prevail over Trump's rampaging Mars.

Since I first published this blog over 225,000 Americans have died of Covid-19. Donald Trump has done practically nothing to control it, and he is encouraging people to ignore masks. Estimates say that if he had acted responsibly perhaps the casualties could have been reduced by 50%.
The Trump movement is essentially a cult of personality. The destruction Trump is causing is now experienced more by his followers in red states, but the horror of it is felt by many more. Unlike Hitler who wreaked destruction on a global scale, Trump's destruction is more contained. It is personalized and directed to those who follow him, in callous disregard for their lives. Trump will sacrifice those who love him most to serve his ego. The narcissism is staggering. His followers must show their love by being willing to die for him. It is the ultimate sacrifice to appease his Saturn-Venus' insatiable need for love.
What does Astrology indicate for election day, Nov.3? Trump's natal chart is in the inner circle and the world planets for Nov. 3 are on the outer circle.

The world Pluto at 22 degrees is quincunx Trump's Sun in Gemini. The power of Pluto hopefully will dampen Trump's Sun.
The world Eris at 23 degrees Aries is in exact square to Trump's Saturn, perhaps signifying that Trump's authority will be shaken up.
Unfortunately, all this does not mean that Trump will stop his destructive behavior. But, I believe, that he will finally receive a significant pushback.
Addendum: November 17, 2020
Donald Trump continues to resist and obstruct the process of presidential transition. His weapon of choice is Twitter so far. This is in agreement with his natal T-square of Neptune (deception, lies), Eris (shock, chaos) expressed through Mercury (thought, speech). While Hitler resorted to bombs, Trump seems content with incendiary words, so far. However, a report is out that he was asking about attacking Iran. Mike Pompeo is likely to want this because of his own explosive nature.
Trump is barricaded inside the White House which is similar to Hitler being in his bunker as the Allies were winning. Mary Trump expects Trump to break whatever he can on his way out. Trump is a disruptor and a destroyer. This is seen in his chart as Mars conjunct Ascendant in Leo, Sun and North Node conjunct Uranus and the T-square of Eris, Neptune and Mercury. These powerful forces run him and empathy is seriously lacking.
Some significant pushback could come around December 21, 2020 when the world Eris and Mars are conjunct and they square exactly Trump's Saturn. The world Pluto will be opposite Trump's Saturn as well. This is likely to mean that Trump's rules and authority (Saturn) will be challenged.

The pushback to Trump came in the form of Bill Barr, the Attorney General. He refused to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the last election and he refused to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate Hunter Biden, actions Donald Trump wanted done.
