Trump: The Great Fraud

It was recently reported that Trump averaged 18 non-true statements a day in 2018. It would be very hard to find a public figure who lied more. Trump is washing us with a giant tsunami of lies. What, then, makes him such a prolific liar?

I have come to believe that aspects with the dwarf planet Eris show which energies will manifest most in people's lives. Eris is in the energetic and active Fire sign of Aries. In Donald Trump's chart Eris is touching his Neptune and Mercury, as 1 degree opposition and 2 degree square respectively. Trump's Mercury is square his Neptune, which probably indicates that his thinking is foggy at best, and deceptive at worst. Truth and lies are one and the same to him. He does not seem bothered by telling lies. Trump's Eris opposition Neptune and square Mercury just increases this effect. He, of course, does not see it as a problem. When he is called out he claims it is "fake news".

In Trump's case lies worked. They got him into the White House. He is not the successful businessman many thought he was. He is a fabricated illusion (Neptune) of a successful businessman. He is not knowledgeable as he claimed, and he is woefully uninformed. He functions at the level of illusions. If he succeeds at creating the illusion he wants, he thinks he is successful. It is all about manipulating perceptions, and he is busy all day and some nights with manipulating the public with his tweets.

Trump, more than any other candidate, succeeded in penetrating the psyche of the Republican base. British astrologer Sue Tompkins describes this ability in Mercury-Neptune people such as Trump: "They can often seemingly infiltrate other people's minds. The boundary between their thinking and everyone else's seems very weak. This gives an innate talent not only for psychology but also for a form of what can only be called brainwashing. In the process of infiltrating someone else's mind the Mercury-Neptune person seems capable not only of perceiving what is there and absorbing it for themselves but also of subtly changing it. Hence the linking of these planets to advertising and propaganda."

Trump's flip-flopping and poor acknowledgement of facts is compounded by his Gemini Sun. Gemini is the sign of the twins, a double identity. Trump can speak in two voices and not see it as a problem. It is what goes on in his head all the time. What is to be believed is simply the last thing he said. Until it is not. Truth is not clear solid ground for Trump. It shifts like mud according to his desires and whims. This is made worse by his Sun being conjunct Uranus, the planet of rapid change. He can abandon and reverse himself on an idea with breakneck speed. He is training the world to respond to his whims and accept this as normal. And he is enjoying it. 

Trump expresses his power (Pluto) through his speech (Mercury). They are in a tight semisextile aspect to each other and both aspect his Eris, the planet of strife. Trump throws his words like incendiary bombs to cause damage to public civility. He enjoys the strife he creates. With his first announcement that he is running for president he began carving his base of support. As a Mercury in Cancer he knew instinctively how to appeal to the fear and prejudice of the other. It is an emotional appeal to the disgruntled, the deeply frightened and insecure in his base. By his crude example he emboldens these people. Trumpism in essence is White Nationalism. That is its core belief.  It is a Nazi tactic he will not abandon because so far, in spite of all his scandals, his base is still holding.

RBG and Antonin Scalia: An Unlikely Friendship

The two, now deceased, justices of the Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Antonin Scalia had an unusual, yet true friendship. They managed it in spite of being most often on the opposite sides of the Court's decisions. For RBG the issue that was of prime concern was the equality of women.
