Mike Pompeo: The Danger Within

Mike Pompeo's teddy bear looks are deceiving. He projects a calm exterior, but beneath there may be something much more sinister. Reports are coming out that Pompeo was the main force behind the killing of Soleimani.

It may be advantageous to Trump, Pence and Pompeo to distract the public from the Ukraine scandal, but there may be other reasons why their actions dominate the world news at this time. We are at an apex of conservative political power in America. Trump has bullied the Republican Party into submission, and the power of the far right has not been this strong since the days of G.W. Bush. The drums of war that Bush beat resulted in catastrophic wars in the Middle East with no ends in sight. Now Trump is attempting to repeat this pattern, primarily for personal reasons. And at his side is Mike Pompeo.

The supposed rationale is that if Soleimani is removed Iran will be incapable, or unwilling, to pursue turmoil in the Middle East. But the reasons for Iran's instigations go far beyond one man. Iran is fanatically anti U.S. and anti Israel. This hate is now what unites Iran. The killing of Soleimani just increased this hate and their determination to fight on.

Is Pompeo so stupid not to realize this, or is he intentionally ratcheting up the tensions toward some cataclysmic event? At this point it should be noted that Pompeo is a fundamentalist Christian who believes in the concept of Rapture. Rapture has been defined as "consisting of an end time event when all Christian believers who are alive, along with the resurrected dead believers, will rise 'in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air'". Mike Pence also shares this belief.

Is Pompeo perhaps trying to speed up the time of Rapture because of his fervent beliefs? Perhaps he believes that a better world is coming after a catastrophic war? Or is there something even more fundamental in Pompeo's nature that pushes him to this confrontational extreme? Some men devote their lives to creating peace while others create instability and war. Trump, for example, has engaged in feuds, provocations and lawsuits his entire life. Trump can't exist without hurling insults at someone. But could Pompeo be more dangerous in the degree of his provocations?

Pompeo's character should be examined closely. A natal astrological chart can reveal a lot about a person's basic character. Pompeo's natal chart is shown below.

The dominant energy of this chart is Jupiter conjunction Eris. It is at the tip of a T-square configuration (red triangle), which means that other planets will channel energy to Jupiter-Eris. The dwarf planet Eris is associated with discord and chaos on global scales. Jupiter acts to amplify this energy by its less than one degree proximity. This means that Pompeo is apt to create a shocking and chaotic event of great magnitude. The fact that this conjunction is in Aries, which is ruled by Mars, and that the planets Mars, Mercury and Sun form a square to this energy, suggests aggression and war. The Moon and North Node form the other square, which means that Pompeo's actions will affect a lot of people on a feeling level. In addition the disruptive energies of Uranus-Pluto contact the Eris-Jupiter conjunction by quincunx (green lines). With such concentrated aggressive energies in his chart, now it hardly seems surprising that Pompeo was at the center of events which may affect history for decades to come. Mike Pompeo has fulfilled the potential of his chart.

But Trump was quite a willing participant in these assassinations. When Trump's natal chart is added to the chart of Soleimani's killing we see a time association.

The transiting Mars (on the outer circle) is less than a degree from an exact square to Trump's Ascendant and 3 degrees from exact square to Trump's Mars. The transiting Mars is less than 4 degrees in opposition to Trump's Medium Coelis. This suggests that Trump will have an impact on the world through some aggressive action. And this is what happened.

Addendum: July 26, 2020

An article in The Guardian by Simon Tisdall echos my evaluation of Mike Pompeo: "Here was an unscrupulous, ambitious and dangerous man - far smarter than Trump - feeding the prejudices, fears and schisms of an alien, alienated society." He stirs the murky waters of religious fundamentalism, giving it more life and power. "He once told Israelis Trump was sent by God to save Jews from the Persians. "I am confident the Lord is at work here.'"
