As Trump continues to destabilize the world through reckless actions, are we headed for another war? Does Donald Trump have it within him to cause violence and mass destruction? He did say that a nuclear war is winnable. When we think of the most destructive leader in world history we think of Adolf Hitler. With Hitler we know what he was capable of. With Trump that is still unknown and that is what I wish to address. Is Trump driven by similar subconscious motives that drove Hitler? Trump and Hitler both tapped into the racial grievances of the White masses. When the economy is not serving people they tend to want to eliminate those they see as competition. For Hitler Jews, Gypsies and other "lesser" ethnic groups were the targets. For Trump it is Muslims, Latinos and Blacks. Both employed brutal tactics to inflict pain on these minorities. Both Trump and Hitler personally felt hatred for these groups. Both had visions of a perfect state with a master race in charge....

When history of these times is written the US Senate under Mitch McConnell will have another stain on its reputation: the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. How can a man who has been credibly accused of sexual assault by Dr. Blasey Ford and who has committed perjury be a judge on the highest court in the land? This is making a mockery of justice and the courts. The man behind the push for Kavanaugh is none other than Donald J. Trump, the man who breaks laws on an almost daily basis. Trump and Kavanaugh are re-victimizing all the victims of sexual assault to whom they deny humanity and justice. For Kavanaugh and Trump assaulting women was a laughing matter. Christine Blasey Ford finished her testimony remembering Kavanaugh's laughter after he assaulted her. In their perverse minds assault was entertaining. Are Donald Trump and Boris Johnson the right men for our times?  Do they really reflect where their countries are at this time?  It depends on whom you ask. The progressives would clearly say "No" because the chain of progress seems to have been  broken. Most of the less educated folks would say that it is time to dig in for a national identity, to bring back a more glorious past (MAGA) when they felt more honored and less threatened. The threat is to their majority, as the influx of browner immigrants is rising in number and status. This fear is at a primitive visceral level. They let the herd instinct take over. These are the people of the MAGA rallies. They are also the more economically threatened people. But, the top 1% has hitched on to this populist movement because they see that immigrants are scapegoated and not the 1% that keeps the wages stagnant and opportunities limited.
